For three and a half years, I had the honor of running production for Nine Cakes in Brooklyn. As I carved out my own niche space in creatively saturated New York City, it was important to me to thread my impact-driven work into the wedding industry. I believe that the inside of your cake should tell just as much of a story as the outside. (So unless you fell in love while hand-pollinating vanilla blossoms in Madagascar, no plain vanilla cake with out-of-season strawberries.)
In collaboration with you, I create unique flavors that showcase each couple's extraordinary partnership.
How I approach wedding cake design:
1. You (the couple) write up a paragraph or two about your relationship — including relevant stories, cultural keystones, favorite food memories, travel experiences, and anything else that represents who you are.
2. I assemble a collection of flavor options that I feel best highlights your journey.
3. We collaborate on flavor selection, collect inspiration for design, and move forward together to tell your story
— both deliciously and visually — through cake.
